Antibiotic-Antimycotic Solution is a saline solution mixture with Amphotericin B, Streptomycin, and Penicillin which avoids bacterial and fungal contaminants in cell culture media. The antibiotic Penicillin and Streptomycin combination results in an effective result of toxicity to gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Amphotericin B works to counter multicellular fungi and yeast. We recommend -20 degrees Celsius. Once the solution is defrosted, we recommend storing the solution at +2 to -8 degrees Celsius for up to four weeks. This antibiotics solution can be frozen again, after being defrosted and after being used. Repeated freezing and thawing rotations should be prevented for this antibiotics solution.

Amphotericin B Solution is an agent produced with Stretptomyces for anti-fungal prevention and contamination. The solution primarily works against fungi and yeast contamination in cell culture media. It only works in cell membranes that have cholesterol, and thus it has no effect on bacteria. It is a very strong antimycotic agent which effectively eliminates fungi or yeast contaminants in cell culture media – highly effective in creating contamination free cell culture media. High dosages can be toxic to some cell strains. It is recommend this antibiotics solution be frozen at -5 to -20 degrees Celsius and aseptic practices are necessary when the solution is being handled.

Gentamicin Sulfate Solution is a mixture of sodium metabisulfite, sulfite, anhydrous, edetate disodium, and benzyl alcohol. The aminglycoside antibiotics are derived from fermenting Micromonospora purpurea and mixing with sulfate salts of the antibiotics derived from the fermentation process. In Vitro antibacterial activity has shown the solution to work against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. The solution also works against indole-positive and -negative Proteus species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella species. This antiobiotics solution has been recommended for controlling bacterial contaminations of the uterus in horses and help in improving conception in mares with uterine contamination. We recommend that Gentamicin Sulfate Solution be stored in 2 to 30 degree Celsius location.
